Phantom 2040

To be fair,there aren’t that many big purple dudes in popular culture… the Phantom, Grimace… Barney the Dinosaur. It was an easy mistake to make.

Phantom 2040 is a very good, but oft-forgotten cartoon show, that also spawned an averagely written ( but drawn by Steve Ditko ) Marvel Comic in 1995. I say it was average, but in terms of much of the stuff Marvel was producing in that era, it’s actually pretty good. The pin-up by Ditko inked by John Romita in issue one, is alone worth the price of admission.
